RezCourt helps people book free time on public courts. These terms explain what we offer, what we ask of you, and what we can't promise. Using RezCourt means you agree to them.

What RezCourt is

RezCourt is an independent, volunteer-run community project that helps people reserve free 30-minute slots on public courts. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any city or municipal parks department. We don't own, maintain, staff or control any court listed in the app.

Court information — locations, surfaces, lights, opening hours — is contributed by volunteers and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always check conditions when you arrive.

Your account

• You need an account to book. Register with an email address or sign in with Google.
• Use a real first name — other players rely on it to recognise you at the court.
• One account per person. Don't create accounts to work around booking limits.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself.
• You must be at least 13 years old.

Booking rules

These rules exist so courts get shared fairly. They're enforced by the app, not by us personally.

• Every slot is free. There are no fees, no memberships, and no way to pay for a better time.
• Slots are 30 minutes, and you can hold one active booking at a time.
• Check in when you arrive by scanning the sticker at the court. If nobody checks in within 10 minutes of the start, the slot is released to whoever is waiting.
• Cancel if your plans change. Cancelling frees the slot for someone else immediately, and costs you nothing.
• Book back-to-back slots only if nobody else wants them.

Repeatedly booking and not showing up may lead us to limit or suspend your ability to book.

Play groups and conduct

Play groups let you open a booking to other players and coordinate in a group chat. When you use them:

• Be civil. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination on any basis.
• No spam, advertising, solicitation, or commercial use of the chat.
• Don't share other players' personal information, and don't impersonate anyone.
• Don't use RezCourt for anything illegal, or to organise anything unsafe.

You can report a post or a player from the ⋯ menu in the app. Volunteer moderators review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts. We may remove any content or account at our discretion, particularly where safety is involved.

Play at your own risk

What we can't promise

RezCourt is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. In particular we can't guarantee that:

• the service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free;
• a court will actually be free, open, playable, or in the condition described;
• a booking will be honoured by other people at the court, or by whoever runs the facility;
• other players will show up, behave well, or be who they say they are.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, RezCourt and its volunteers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the service, from using a court, or from meeting other users. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.

Changes and ending your use

RezCourt is a free project maintained by volunteers. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it — including shutting it down entirely — at any time. We'll give notice in the app where we reasonably can.

You can stop using RezCourt whenever you like and delete your account from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms.

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top of this page, and announce material changes in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use RezCourt after that means you accept the new terms.
